Certification Legend
Instructor & Command Certifications
Instructor Pilot (VSOA)
VSOA-certified Instructor Pilot, qualified to conduct flight instruction on VATSIM.
vTAC Instructor Pilot
A vTAC-internal Instructor Pilot. Not a VSOA IP — authorized to instruct and grade within vTAC training.
Commander Certified
Completed Commander's Course. Certified to hold command positions within vTAC.
Flight Position Certifications
Wingman Certified
Certified to fly VATSIM as a wing pilot only. No solo or formation lead approved.
Solo Certified
Certified to fly VATSIM for solo operations or as wing pilot. No formation lead approved.
Formation Certified
Certified to fly VATSIM as Formation Lead, Solo, or as a Wing Pilot.
Combat Certifications
Air-to-Ground
Certified to conduct air-to-ground operations on VATSIM.
Air-to-Air
Certified to conduct intercept / air combat maneuver operations on VATSIM.
Combat Qualified
Combined A2A and A2G certification. Certified for both air-to-air and air-to-ground operations.
Mission Certifications
Air Drop Certified
Certified to conduct air drop operations on VATSIM.
Air Refueling
Certified to conduct air refueling operations on VATSIM.
Mission Qualified
Combined DROP and AR certification. Certified for air drop and air refueling operations.

Air Mobility Command
Certified to conduct operations for approved units under vTAC vAMC.
