C1102 FLIGHT MISSION QUAL 2 1.0 hour minimum

Tac Sortie 1 (BFM / ACM)

vACC MQ2 | WVR fundamentals, WVR rules, OBFM/DBFM demonstration

OBJECTIVE

Execute a tactical sortie demonstrating WVR combat rules understanding and competence in Offensive BFM (OBFM) and Defensive BFM (DBFM). Trainee will demonstrate safe ACM execution, deconfliction discipline, communications, and controlled engagements under instructor supervision.

WVR TRAINING RULES (BASELINE)

  • Hard deck: Briefed minimum altitude for maneuvering (no exceptions)
  • Bubble: Maintain deconfliction bubble; KIO if compromised
  • Lose sight: Call “Blind” immediately; defend and deconflict
  • Terminate/KIO: Instructor/flight lead can stop at any time
  • G-awareness: Manage energy; avoid unsafe high-G behavior

Your unit TRs are authoritative; this is a baseline guideline for the syllabus.
